Emily is originally from Vernon, B.C, and is happy to be back practicing in the Okanagan. After articling with The City of Calgary in 2015, she was called to the Alberta and B.C. Bars in 2016. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Kelowna Bar Association, and the Okanagan Young Professionals Collective. Emily is currently practicing family law, estate litigation, civil litigation and personal injury.
Emily completed a B.F.A. program in Theatre at the University of Victoria before obtaining Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Common Law degrees from McGill University. During law school, she volunteered with the McGill Legal Information and Pinay Legal Information Clinics, the McGill Law High School Outreach Program, and the Student Ambassador Program. She also acted as the Program Coordinator for the McGill Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada. These experiences helped Emily develop effective communication and research skills, as well as a strong commitment to the community. She was also active with McGill Law’s resident theatre club, Actus Reus.
Emily is fluent in both French and English. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, biking, and getting involved in the local theatre and music communities.
